Tickets have been book and visas applied for – it looks like we’re off to Sierra Leone again!
It’s been a tricky year with both the continuing downturn in the economy and also the transition in leadership both here and in Sierra Leone. In light of this it has been decided that Gordon Hamilton and myself should visit a year early to join our friends for their Annual Conference and to ensure that the relationship between us moves forward smoothly – something that is much easier to do through face to face discussions than through emails!
We fly out on Sunday 30th January and get back to the UK in the early hours of Saturday 12th February. We’ll post more details as and when they are confirmed.
Well it has been 5 years since my last visit to Sierra Leone, so I am looking forward to meeting some old friends and making some new friendships.
With the SL connexional conference happening from 1st -4th February, that will be an interesting time and I hope to get some useful contributions for the next edition of the Voice magazine.
